Cardozo Students Help Get Justice for Wrongfully Accused Man

Cardozo's celebrated a victory as a judge overturned the rape charges of Rafael Ruiz, a Bronx man who had been imprisoned for 25 years. The Innocence Project team, which included Cardozo clinic students Sasha Rubman and Matt Christiana, pushed for the testing of the victim鈥檚 sexual assault kit, which contributed to Ruiz's exoneration.

Cardozo's annual kicked off on Jan. 27. The four-day event included a range of panels and discussions to introduce students to career options in public service.
