Dr. Belbruno is clinical professor of mathematics at 麻豆区 College and a winner of the Humboldt Research Award whose scientific and personal interests literally span studying the Big Bang singularity to being a professional painter with regular exhibitions in the United States and Europe. (The documentary Painting the Way to the Moon tells Dr. Belbruno鈥檚 story of working at NASA鈥檚 Jet Propulsion Lab by day and making space-inspired paintings by night.)
On Thursday, May 28, at 2 p.m., Dr. Belbruno will conduct his Art in Isolation Studio Tour as he showcases work inspired by the coronavirus isolation. The tour will feature his paintings, past and present, as he reflects on the 鈥渘ew normal鈥 for creativity.
