The Lieberman-Mitzner Center Welcomes Matthew Lieberman as New Executive Advisory Board Member

The Lieberman-Mitzner Center for Public Service and Advocacy is proud to announce the newest member of their Executive Advisory Board: Mr. Matthew Lieberman.

Matthew Lieberman, son of the late Senator Joseph Lieberman, served as a Senior Advisor and national surrogate on both the Gore-Lieberman campaign (2000) and the Lieberman for President campaign (2004). As a graduate of Yale College and Yale Law School, Mr. Lieberman began his career as an educator. He founded the 鈥淚 Have a Dream鈥 scholarship and mentorship program, served as a coach at his old high school, Hopkins School, and worked as Head of School for a Jewish Day School in Atlanta, G.A.

While Mr. Lieberman has worked extensively in both politics and education, he has also written and self-published a book, practiced law, and served as the President of the Jewish National Fund for the Southeast.

Mr. Lieberman鈥檚 support and advocacy for Judaism and Israel are of the utmost importance to him鈥攙alues which, he reflects, were instilled in him by his father.

鈥淢y dad's engagement in politics and public life was an integral part - perhaps the most integral part - of who he was as a Jew. It was how he lived his commitment to making the world better and our lives more filled with promise and hope.  It was his belief that the Center could encourage generations of fellows to find Jewish meaning in lives of public service and advocacy.鈥

The Lieberman-Mitzner Center is grateful and privileged to have Mr. Matthew Lieberman joining the Executive Board. His advice and partnership will be an invaluable asset to the Center.
