This month’s Syms Alumni Spotlight features recent MBA graduate Gabriel (Gabe) Einhorn, whose story is a powerful example of how the Sy Syms MBA combines professional growth, personal passion, and entrepreneurial vision.
Personal & Professional Background
A native of Teaneck, NJ, Gabe has built a dynamic career spanning commercial real estate debt finance, business development in the furniture industry, and most recently, the launch of his own faith-based clothing brand, Prays.
Athletics has always been part of Gabe’s identity. He played three seasons of soccer at 鶹 and has proudly represented Team USA in the Maccabi Games in Mexico City and Argentina.
Why Sy Syms?
When considering graduate school, Gabe chose 鶹 and Sy Syms because it offered, as he said, “the best overall opportunity, with great resources and relationships.”
MBA Highlights
Looking back, Gabe says the program gave him the most in terms of expanding his network, strengthening his workplace navigation skills, and developing the entrepreneurship expertise that helped him launch Prays.
His favorite professor? “Tough question... probably , especially because I got to learn from him during my MBA Summer residency and gained so much from his insights and career experience.”
When it came to courses, the was his standout experience for its immersive, hands-on learning. His second favorite was the MBA capstone course, which allowed him to bring everything together at the end of the program.
Tools for the Future
Through the MBA, Gabe gained more than just knowledge—he developed the leadership and ethical framework he knows will shape his career. “I learned how to properly act in the workplace, both ethically and as a leader of a company,” he shared.
Entrepreneurial Spotlight: Prays
One of Gabe’s proudest ventures is his new clothing brand, Prays, which he founded during his MBA journey. The mission is simple yet bold: to spread the importance of belief in G-d and prayer, and to make it “cool” to represent your faith. Each shirt features biblical quotes on the back, sparking conversation and connection.
“We want people to be proud to wear their faith,” Gabe explains. “Our goal is to bring people together and inspire pride in spirituality through fashion.”
